GSA Awards Final Millennia Lite IT Support Services Contracts

Washington, DC -- The U. S. General Services Administration's Federal Technology Service (FTS) today announced the fourth and final award in a series of four major information technology support services contracts under the Millennia Lite program. Twelve multiple award indefinite quantity contracts were awarded for Legacy Systems Migration and New Enterprise Systems Development. The maximum dollar value for all contracts awarded under Millennia Lite is $20 billion.

"The Millennia Lite contracts will provide GSA's customers with greater choice of solutions and institute partnerships with many more industry partners," said FTS Commissioner Sandra Bates.

The 12 Legacy Systems Migration and New Enterprise Systems Development contracts were awarded to:

Computer and Hi-Tech Management, Inc.
Federal Data Corporation
Keane, Inc.
Madison Research Corp.
Signal Corp.
SRA International
Sterling Software, Inc.
TRW Systems Integration Group

Anticipated services under the Legacy Systems Migration and New Enterprise Systems Development are:

Modernization of legacy systems to web enabled applications; software development and customization of COTS, and migration to modular applications; internet/intranet/web applications/network computing; information and system security/firewalls/critical; infrastructures; knowledge management; data warehousing; electronic commerce/electronic data exchange; Year 2000 remediation and test tools; groupware; next generation internet; client/server computing; workflow and imaging.

Each of the multiple award indefinite quantity contracts has a base period of three years, plus award term options to extend services up to a total of 10 years. Orders under the contracts may be fixed-price, cost reimbursement, time and materials or labor hour. These contracts are available for use by all Federal agencies worldwide.

Millennia Lite is comprised of four functional areas, each of which was awarded separately. The four areas are: information technology planning, studies and assessment; high-end information technology services; mission support services; and legacy systems migration and new enterprise systems development.

"As technology races ahead, the Federal community must be ready to meet future challenges," said Bob Suda, Assistant Commissioner for Information Technology Integration. "This series of awards will meet those needs. We are proud that FTS has broadened its base of value-add contracts to serve the Federal community. This will increase GSA's broad offerings and shows that GSA has the answer for all IT needs."

The contracts were awarded by the GSA's Federal Technology Service, Information Technology Acquisition Center (ITAC) co-located in Fort Worth, TX and Atlanta, GA. The ITAC is recognized as a center for acquisition expertise.
