Iowa Field Office
The Iowa Service Center operates six federally-owned buildings with 1.1 million square feet of space, covering 14 acres of land along with 610 indoor and outdoor parking spaces valued at $204 million.
The Service Center supports 45 agencies and more than 1,400 federal employees. Iowa also manages 72 leased spaces throughout the state with an annual rent bill of $15 million and includes almost 500,000 square feet of office space, housing 1,180 tenants.
Owned buildings include the Neal Smith Federal Building, Des Moines U.S. Courthouse, Iowa City Federal Building/Post Office, Sioux City Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse, Cedar Rapids U.S. Courthouse, and the Davenport U.S. Courthouse. The Davenport and Des Moines Courthouses and the Sioux City Federal Building and Courthouse are all on the National Register of Historic Places.
