GSA Infrastructure Technology Global Operations (GITGO) Acquisition Initiative

Posted October 2, 2006

The GSA is restructuring the way information technology support services are delivered within the agency by consolidating all contracts that currently provide support for general purpose desktop computing, networking, messaging and mobile/remote access services under the 8(a) STARS Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC).

This restructuring of information technology support services will provide GSA with the opportunity to continue to improve the cost effectiveness, security and reliability of our information technology infrastructure.  This approach emulates commercial best practices and conforms with the approach recommended by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for Federal organizations of our size and scope.

Interested parties can review the draft solicitation and submit questions/comments to FTS.R10Acquisition@gsa.gov.

GSA will be hosting a Pre-Solicitation Conference on October 5, 2006 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA.

The purpose of this conference is to:

  • Conduct a brief overview of the GITGO Acquisition
  • Conduct a question/answer session on the draft solicitation for the GSA Infrastructure Technology Global Operations (GITGO) Acquisition Initiative
  • Provide a forum for contractors to network with each other and potential subcontractors.
