GSA in Joint Satellite Partnership

GSA and the Defense Information Systems Agency have created a common marketplace for commercial satellite communication services that offers significant savings to defense and civilian agencies.

Federal, state, local, and tribal governments rely on commercial satellite communications to provide essential and secure communications, particularly for emergency responders, disaster recovery teams, and the warfighter. Services are also used to support distance learning and remote access to global government networks.

Among the activities currently underway, GSA has posted a Draft Schedule 70 Request for Information (RFI) on the Federal Business Opportunities website. The RFI also includes information about a related Industry Day.

The partnership has also defined upcoming needs, strategies, acquisition solicitations, and award timelines on the partnership’s Future COMSATCOM Services Acquisition website.
