GSA Launches Online Dialogue With Public
GSA is using new and innovative technology to give the public a stronger voice to communicate with government. Think of it as a conversation we'll use to add more transparency to our business practices. All federal agencies have created similar exchanges as part of President Obama’s Open Government Directive.
GSA recently launched a new site where the public can share ideas on how we can be more transparent, participatory, and collaborative. Twenty-three agencies are using our tool, which we provided free to them. Because we provided and will maintain the tool, the other agencies can devote their attention to running, moderating, and analyzing public input.
We also are meeting the open government challenge by launching an page where you can view a short video by Michael Robertson, our senior official for open government, learn more about the White House initiative, check out the data sets we have posted go data.gov, and even share the page with others.
