John F. Kennedy Federal Building Window Replacement Project
GSA is replacing the windows at the JFK Federal Building located in Government Center, Boston, MA.
Funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), the project includes replacement of all 4,600 windows with dual-glazed, energy-efficient, glass fragmentation resistant enhancements. Windows will be replaced from the outside to minimize impact on building occupants.
A project communication team comprised of representatives from GSA, Construction Manager APSI, and tenant agencies, has been established to share next steps throughout the various phases of the project and address tenant concerns and questions.

Project Status:
The completion of the trim installation in the north and south stairwells has been delayed due to issues with delivered materials. It is expected that the new materials will arrive and allow the stairwells to be completed by the end of April. The stairs continue to remain operational during regular business hours. The project team requests that tenants refrain from using the stairs during the construction hours of 6:00 PM–5:00 AM, except in the case of an emergency. If you have any questions, please contact Amy Lane at 703-220-4033.
