Constructed in 1960, the four-story Federal Building located in downtown Bemidji, Minn., is within a block of the Beltrami County Judicial Building, Bemidji Fire Station, Bemidji Post Office, and the County Administration Building. GSA acquired the building in 1974 through a transfer from the U.S. Post Office.
The building houses the U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Indian Affairs and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services' Indian Health Service.

History and Architectural Features Made of concrete brick and polished granite, the building features concrete columns framing a flat roof, while the interior features a terrazzo lobby area. The building has four floors, a basement, and a mezzanine.
