Milestone #5.2: Developing and Maintaining an Inventory of Mobile Devices and Wireless Service Contracts
In early November 2012, GSA began reporting inventory data to OMB internally as required by the Digital Government Strategy, and is developing plans to keep the data updated to reflect new or expiring contracts in real time, or closest reasonable interval. GSA will update the data no less than once a quarter (every 3 months).
GSA’s inventory data is in progress—estimated at 95% completion as of November 23, 2012. It was 100% complete on November 26, 2012.
Per OMB Circular A-11 Appendix C, GSA’s Agency Code is 023, with four Bureau Codes as follows:General Services Administration (Code 00), Real Property Activities (Code 05), Supply and Technology Activities (Code 10) and General Activities (Code 30). The agency does not use these codes in tracking devices nor contracts. As inventory data must be accounted for at the bureau level as applicable as defined in OMB Circular A-11 Appendix C, GSA will not report by Bureau Codes, rather, will report that the inventory is 95% complete at this time and that timely updates as required will be provided no less than once per quarter.
