Office of Strategic Programs
The Office of Strategic Programs (OSP) centralizes oversight of strategic government-wide information technology programs. It is responsible for responding to Executive Orders, OMB Directives, and federal agencies' customer needs. In its role it incubates new information technology products, services and solutions. The office defines optimum solutions, including acquisition vehicles and managed services, to best meet agencies' needs to obtain best value and cost effectiveness.
Mark Day is the director of the Office of Strategic Programs, and reports directly to the Assistant Commissioner, Office of Integrated Technology Services. This office oversees these areas:
The Office of Strategic Programs is tasked with searching for forward-looking ways in government to incorporate new technology for greater efficiencies, such as providing cloud services and technologies into contracts agencies can access. OSP provides government with access to technology with a focus on cost savings and mission performance.
