Customer Service Director Todd Cook Assists Escambia County, FL

GSA Region 4, Customer Service Director (CSD) Todd Cook helped Escambia County, FL procure Information Technology (IT) equipment through GSA's Cooperative Purchasing Program for professional television broadcasting services.  The equipment will enhance the county's audio, voting, studio, internal display and broadcast camera systems and support Escambia County and the county's Board of Commissioners.  CSD Cook provided consultative assistance to Escambia County about GSA's Cooperative Purchasing Program to help them understand how to use GSA's Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) Program to identify and procure from among qualified GSA Schedule 70, IT Schedule contractors.  

GSA's Cooperative Purchasing Program allows state and local governments to buy from GSA Schedule 70 (Information Technology) and GSA Schedule 84 (Law Enforcement) GSA MAS contractors.  Through GSA, Escambia County was able to expeditiously identify qualified IT contractors within their budget and who have demonstrated the technical knowledge and expertise in the area of work required by Escambia county.
