GSA Regions Collaborate to Sustain Customer Service

In early August this year, GSA Region 4 Customer Service Director (CSD) Warren Richey provided training on how to use GSA eTools to identify and acquire solutions to federal procurement officials from the states of Louisiana and Mississippi. eTools are GSA electronic applications that streamline and simplify the acquisition process for federal customers. CSD Richey demonstrated the process of how contracting officers and Government Purchase Card holders access and utilize GSA Advantage, GSA eBuy and E-Library. GSA Advantage is GSA's on-line ordering program that provides over 30 million products and services. e-Buy is an automated request for quotes where buyers can request quotes and information from GSA vendors. E-Library is an on-line repository and resource that catalogs information about GSA's Multiple Award Schedule vendors where customers can visit to learn more about GSA contractors and their offerings. CSD Richey augmented the training efforts normally provided by GSA Region 7. Currently, Region 7 CSD is deployed to Afghanistan providing acquisition support to the US military.
