Design
Design new facilities to create outstanding Federal workplaces and support neighborhood urban design goals.
Public architecture that gives thoughtful consideration to its community context can be a powerful symbol, both inspiring citizens with pride in their government and their country and contributing positively to the appearance and street life of a neighborhood. Materials and massing, building orientation and public spaces, and landscaping and site security all play roles in how Federal buildings interact with their communities.
Below, is a list of examples that illustrate this point. Detailed summaries of these projects are forthcoming. Thank you for your patience as we update our website.
Toledo OH - Civic Center Mall
Washington DC - 3rd and C Street Plan
