Summer internships
Administration and office-support student trainee (399 job series). As a program support student trainee, you will work closely with our experienced program support team and contribute to developing and implementing initiatives that drive organizational success. This internship will provide hands-on experience in various aspects of program support, including coordinating projects, analyzing data, and program evaluation.

Legal Externship Program
Our competitive Legal Externship Program offers law students to observe legal practice in a federal setting. You will learn about the work, roles, and responsibilities of our attorneys and support staff teams in the Office of General Counsel.
As an extern, you will participate in training and challenging assignments such as research, analysis, and drafting legal documents in practice areas that include administrative law, employment law, government ethics, procurement, real estate, construction, government travel, cybersecurity, litigation, and legislation.
What you need to know to apply:
- We accept applications year-round.
- You can work full or part time.
- You can work remotely (subject to change).
- The externship is unpaid.
- We will work with you to meet your academic institution’s requirements to earn academic credit.
Eligibility
You must be:
- A U.S. citizen.
- Enrolled in a law school accredited by the American Bar Association.
- Approved to participate by your law school.
- Available for a semester-long commitment.
