GSA Awards Task Order to Train DoD Cyber Crime Fighters

WASHINGTON, DC - The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded Computer Sciences Corporation an eight-year task order to support the Department of Defense Computer Investigations Training Program.

Part of GSA's Federal Technology Service (FTS), the Federal Systems Integration and Management (FEDSIM) Center made the award through the FTS Millennia contract. If all options are exercised over the eight years, the task order will have a value of $86.8 million. Requirements include support to develop, enhance and implement state-of-the-art computer investigation training to law enforcement professionals who ensure information systems are secure against unauthorized and/or fraudulent use, counterintelligence and other criminal activities.

The training is expected to be valuable for homeland defense and could prove to be popular with other federal law enforcement agencies. Courses cover computer search and seizure, computer intrusions and forensic computer media analysis.
