GSA Announces Federal Discount Program for AT T Wireless Services Inflight Calling

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. General Services Administration's Federal Technology Service (FTS), in cooperation with the Federal Supply Service, has announced the award of a contract with AT&T Wireless Services. This multi-year contract will provide Federal travelers with another vehicle for inflight voice, data, and fax services at discounts of up to 50 percent below commercial rates.
Effective June 1, 1998, Federal travelers using their official government travel card (currently American Express) will receive a 50 percent discount on all calls made within North America and to Canada.
This valuable cost saving communications tool for Federal travelers will increase productivity while they make calls, take calls, and fax inflight at 30,000 feet.
