GSA Sets Stage for IRMCO Awards

Washington, DC – Nominations are in, and selection panel deliberations are underway to identify this year’s individual and team winners of the 46th Annual Interagency Resources Management Conference (IRMCO) Award, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced today.

IRMCO award winners and the top five finalists will be presented during the GSA-sponsored conference held April 29 - May 1, 2007.  All award nominations are viewable on the IRMCO website

The prestigious IRMCO Award honors individual and team efforts demonstrating an exceptional ability to operate across organizational boundaries to improve government services to citizens. 

An interagency team of judges reviews and evaluates each nomination based on the following criteria:

             1. Demonstrated leadership in operating across organizational boundaries,
             2. Willingness and ability to treat obstacles as challenges, and not barriers; and
             3. Measurable improvements in performance linked to mission objectives/results.

IRMCO is an annual forum that addresses the most significant and timely issues facing government management communities.  It promotes partnerships, facilitates dialogues, and motivates collaborations across multiple disciplines and communities to deliver a better and higher quality of service to the public.
