Available Now!  2013 Wildland Fire Equipment Catalog

GSA has created a "flipbook" version of the 2013 catalog, ideal for online viewing. For those who need it, we've also created a text-only, pdf version. In late March, GSA mailed printed copies and additional copies are available.

Catalog Corrections:

Page 11: Synthetic Garden Hose (NSN 4210-01-167-1061) is actually white, not yellow as shown.

Page 16: Item D, Backpack Pump Liner (NSN 8465-01-321-1679) costs $6.65 EA, not $15.77.

Page 17: Item J, Gasoline Can (NSN 7240-01-044-5523) photo indicates that a separate, quick-disconnect coupler is included with the gasoline can.  Instead, it is included with Item K, Fire Pump Gasoline Line (NSN 4210-00-568-9904).

Page 17: Item K, Fire Pump Gasoline Line (NSN 4210-00-568-9904) has a new description:

Hose ends are fitted with female 7/16" SAE threads to attach to the pump and a male quick-connect fitting (included) that connects to the gasoline can. Has a 1/4" ID. Cover is oil- and ozone-resistant. For use with Gasoline Can NSN 7240-01-044-5523. Forest Service Spec 5100-274. (NFES #0113)

Page 40: Standard Form SF-91, Motor Vehicle Accident Report (NSN 7540-00-634-4041) costs $7.29 HD, not $6.97.

Note on First Aid Kits
The manufacturer of 3 first aid kits (listed below) is revising a component label to clarify the description of its contents.  Existing labels may suggest that the PVP iodine swab in each kit is sterile, when it is only the applicator that is sterile.  The iodine solution, used as a disinfectant, was never intended to be a sterilized product.  There is no safety issue for patients and no reason to return existing kits.  However, labels on future products will be more specific.

The affected items are:

  • NFES 0067, NSN 6545-00-656-1092  First Aid Kit, Type I
  • NFES 1604, NSN 6545-00-656-1094  First Aid Kit, Type III
  • NFES 1143, NSN 6545-01-010-7754  First Aid Kit, Type IV
