Mary Davie Named Acting Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner

Integrated Technology Services assistant commissioner to lead the General Services Administration’s Acquisition Office

WASHINGTON – Today, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced Mary Davie as the acting commissioner of the agency’s Federal Acquisition Service (FAS). In this role, Davie will manage and lead the strategic direction and delivery of more than $55 billion in products, while deepening the agency’s commitment to promoting efficiency, driving steeper bargains, and creating greater opportunities for government-wide savings.  

Davie’s career spans more than 20 years of service at GSA. She played a key role in bringing innovative solutions to the agency’s IT and acquisition efforts as the assistant commissioner of Integrated Technology Services (ITS). She co-led the federal Strategic Sourcing Working Group and the White House Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) Strategic Sourcing Community of Practice to develop a vision and framework for strategic sourcing in government. She has also served as the assistant commissioner for Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS).
