Miles Romney Achievement Award for Innovation in Personal Property Management

The Miles Romney Achievement Award for Innovation in Personal Property Management was instituted in 1998 by the Office of Government-wide Policy, Office of Asset and Transportation Management.

This award seeks to recognize innovation in federal personal property management. Best practices nominated here are considered for their impact on program effectiveness, as well as their portability to other agencies and programs, to advance the effectiveness of the overall federal asset management program.

The GSA’s Gold Star Award for Excellence in Implementing Federal Computers for Learning Program

The GSA’s Gold Star Award recognizes a federal agency’s innovative implementation of Executive Order 12999 and other policies enabling the transfer of federal information technology to schools and other eligible recipients.

The federal government has a unique opportunity through these programs to provide needed IT resources to our nation’s educational activities. This award seeks to recognize agency innovation and accomplishments in providing these needed assets in a cost effective and timely manner. Nominations are also judged on how easily these agency practices can be imitated by other agencies to further increase our federal assistance to our needy schools.
