FAR Part 51

ATTENTION, THE FAR 51 DEVIATION HAS EXPIRED:

The FAR 51 Deviation expired on October 8, 2014. Any new contracts or orders issued after October 8, 2014 cannot utilize the deviation authority. Existing contracts or orders awarded with this authority and issued before this date can continue to use the FAR 51 Deviation. 

 

Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 51.1, Contractor Use of Government Supply Sources, prescribes policies and procedures under which contractors can use government supply sources, including GSA Schedule contracts. When determined to be in the best interest of the government, contracting officers may authorize contractors to use GSA Schedule contracts in the performance of cost-reimbursement contracts.
