Policy Performance Division
The Policy Performance Division is responsible for developing governmentwide business intelligence capabilities for the Office of Asset and Transportation Management. The goal of the Division is to conduct research and assist in the development, implementation and validation of evidence-based policies. The Division monitors performance to determine whether implemented policies are producing the desired effect and supporting the effective and efficient management of the Federal government. The Division manages:
- The Office Workplace Management Program provides tools for agencies to benchmark and compute the cost per person for workspace, information technology, telecommunications, telework and other alternative work environments;
- Policy Evaluation Review to monitor the implementation of governmentwide policies and their effectiveness in collaboration with federal agencies.
- The GSA Real Property Innovation Achievement Award Program to further develop and enhance the identification and distribution of best practices being incorporated in the Federal government.
The Division coordinates relationships with industry and associations to further develop and enhance best practice identification and communication. As data is analyzed and compared to available benchmarks in the private and public sectors the data is made available to Federal agencies as appropriate.
