USDA New Childcare Facility Ribbon Cutting

GSA recently participated in a ribbon cutting for theofficial opening of the U.S. Department of Agruculture Child Development Center in the Sidney Yates Building, which is occupied by the U.S. Forest Service. The new 11,000 square foot child care facility can accommodate approximately 80 children on the first floor and serves children 6 weeks to 5 years old.

GSA Gets Green in New Carrollton

GSA Administrator Dan Tengherlini launched new green construction at the IRS New Carrollton Financial Service Center. The New Carrollton facility is one of two new Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC) projects in the Washington, DC Metro Area. The New construction delivers on the Obama administration's goal to acquire $2 billion in energy efficiency upgrades at federal buildings over the next three years. Read More

 

National Science Foundation Groundbreaking

Mayor of Alexandria, NCR Leadership and National Science Foundation project lease cordinators break ground at the future location for the NSF building.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) broke ground on their new headquarters initiating a new phase of construction at the Hoffman Town Center in the City of Alexandria. NCR Regional Administrator Julia E. Hudson joined State, City and agency officials including the Honorable Congressman James P. Moran, Mayor of Alexandria William D. Euille, and Acting Director of NSF Dr. Cora B. Marrett. Read More
