WASHINGTON, DC - The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced the award of a task order to provide enterprise-wide network engineering and management services to support the U.S. General Accounting Office's (GAO) IT infrastructure.

GSA's Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM), a program of the Federal Technology Service (FTS), awarded the task order to SRA International, Inc. through GSA's Millennia contract. Estimated at over $105 million, the award is for six years, if all options are exercised. Previously, SRA provided similar support to GAO through a now-completed task order that FEDSIM established and managed since 1998.

In this task order SRA will provide security engineering, intrusion detection, continuity-of-operations planning, enterprise architecture, software engineering, and data network infrastructure management as well as continue 24x7 on-site services that include maintaining the local area and wide area network operation and interfaces.

FEDSIM offers a wide range of support for planning, developing, acquiring, implementing, maintaining, and managing IT resources and support services. Managing over $1.4 billion in new IT acquisitions in 2002, FEDSIM has a proven track record of developing innovative and award-winning solutions to government IT problems and satisfying requirements for specific IT products and services.

GSA is a centralized federal procurement and property management agency created by Congress to improve government efficiency and help federal agencies better serve the public. It acquires, on behalf of federal agencies, office space, equipment, telecommunications, information technology, supplies, and services.
