GSA Awards Managed Hosting Services Contract for Financial Management System
WASHINGTON – The U.S. General Services Administration has awarded a five-year task order contract, valued at up to $29 million, to CGI Federal Inc. to provide managed hosting services for GSA’s financial management system.
Under the order awarded by the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, CGI will transition GSA’s financial management system to a new platform that will streamline transaction processing and allow for greater capacity. The new system will reduce the number of physical servers currently used to facilitate financial transaction processing, while substantially increasing the capacity to support new billing and accounts receivable functions.
Housed in CGI’s certified tier three-high security data center supporting 99.8 percent uptime, the managed hosting services provided through the enhanced platform will leverage virtualization, standardization, and automation to effectively meet GSA’s comprehensive set of service level requirements including performance, availability, and resource utilization.
The order also focuses on measures to ensure that GSA continues to meet its stringent security, compliance, and financial management policy and standards.
