Mobile Ideas

We continue to expand our mobile offerings and have prioritized two additional services to be made available on mobile platforms. Already we offer a per diem mobile app and a mobile version of USA.gov, m.usa.gov.

We actively engaged with customers to make this selection, by collecting feedback from them both directly and indirectly on the services we provide. This information was and continues to be collected on an ongoing basis using many different methods. In the past, we’ve used open participation surveys, via various GSA websites, for public evaluations of our communications, products, and services. Earlier this year, we conducted a survey on gsa.gov with visitors using mobile devices to identify what services and information they were seeking. Our survey collected over 3300 responses. Currently, customer satisfaction survey tools capture feedback from customers regarding our online services. In addition, our web metric tools give us further insight into what services and information are of most value to, or most highly sought by, our customers, including a breakdown of which are most accessed by mobile device users.

We have now made the following services available on mobile platforms:

System Name System Description Main Customers
USA.gov and GobiernoUSA.gov To enable the public to access to government information and services on all mobile devices, USA.gov and GobiernoUSA.gov were redesigned using responsive design which automatically scales to the screen size of device being used. Public and Federal Employees
eBuy eBuy, a component of GSA Advantage!®, is an online Request for Quotation (RFQ) tool. Private industry partners, small businesses, and other customer agencies.
GSA.gov The mobile site, m.gsa.gov has been developed that offers streamlined access to the content most frequently accessed by mobile devices. Customer agencies, vendors, public, government employees and the press

We continue to explore implementing the other candidates, and welcome all feedback, comments, and suggestions. Please share with us your comments and suggestions in the comments section below.
