Description: The USDA’s National Information Technology Center (NITC) is part of the USDA Office of Chief Information Officer’s Data Center Operations and is a federally-owned Cloud Service Provider (CSP) for systems that are owned by Federal and State & Local Government. The NITC Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offering provides standard virtualized operating systems utilizing advanced server virtualization technologies, strict standards, and economies of scale to enable rapid delivery of cost-effective, fully-managed operating platforms offering expanded controls to securely host customer applications.  In addition to the FedRAMP Moderate security control baseline, NITC implemented FISMA High security controls within the NITC IaaS cloud service offering. The NITC Enterprise Data Centers are located in Kansas City, Missouri, Saint Louis, Missouri, and Beltsville, Maryland.
