GSA Leasing Support Services (GLS)

GLS Overview

GSA/PBS awarded its third generation broker contract, GSA Leasing Support Services or GLS,  September 30, 2015. GSA awarded nine Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contracts to six brokerage firms, two of which are small businesses, to support the government’s nationwide leasing program.  The notice to proceed, issued on January 19, 2016, marked the usage of the contracts nationwide.

GSA made awards in the following four zones:

Northern Service Area

  • Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc.
  • CBRE, Inc.

Southern Service Area

  • Savills Studley, Inc.
  • Public Properties LLC (Small Business)

Western Service Area

  • Carpenter/Robbins Commercial Real Estate, Inc. (Small Business)
  • DTZ Americas, Inc.

National Capital Service Area

  • CBRE, Inc.
  • Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc.
  • Savills Studley, Inc.

Under the GSA Leasing Support Services (GLS) contract, brokers will perform lease acquisition services ranging from customer requirements development to rent commencement across four zones supporting 11 regional offices.  This contract, enhanced with an incentive to reward brokers for both above standard performance and negotiating rates below that market midpoint, further aligns the brokerage program with Public Buildings Service strategic goals and is expected to generate $100 million in rent credits to customer agencies.

GLS is the third generation of national broker services contracts awarded by GSA since 2004.
