New Contract for John Joseph Moakley United States Courthouse Saves Taxpayers Money

BOSTON – As part of its ongoing mission to deliver high-quality, cost effective services in real estate, acquisition and technology for customers across Federal Government, the New England region of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded Jones, Lang, LaSalle (NYSE: JLL) a new five-year contract at the John Joseph Moakley United States Courthouse.

After review and input from the courts, GSA New England Region negotiated a contract providing significant savings to taxpayers which included an overall 9 percent decrease in costs. The contract is valued at $13 million. The courthouse is owned and managed by the GSA.

The contract includes mechanical maintenance, elevator service, basement janitorial services, landscaping, floating boat dock and the management of the public realm at the J.J. Moakley Courthouse.

JLL – a leading professional services firm that specializes in real estate and investment management – holds contracts at several local facilities including the Seaport World Trade Center and Rowes Wharf.
