WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) today announced the appointment of Bruno Kelpsas to serve as the regional administrator of GSA’s Northwest Arctic Region, effective January 2, 2018.

As the Northwest Arctic Regional Administrator, Kelpsas will oversee all of GSA’s operations in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington; including management of federal real estate and information technology. He will also be responsible for an inventory of 508 government-owned or leased buildings, and overseeing approximately 428 employees.

“I’m very pleased to welcome Bruno to the GSA leadership team in the Northwest Arctic Region,” said GSA Administrator Emily Murphy. “His experience as a reformer in business, government, and the military will be invaluable as we pursue efforts to reduce duplication, generate competition and increase agency transparency.”

Kelpsas has a long record of being an industry leader in information technology (IT) modernization in both the public and private sectors. He has more than 16 years of global level experience in information technology, including blockchain, cybersecurity and cloud technologies.

Kelpsas received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.
