The Replacing Lease For The National Technical Information Services Achieves $9.8 Million Savings

In the 4th quarter of fiscal year 2019 GSA’s National Capital Region finalized a 15-year firm, full-term lease for the U.S. Department of Commerce, National Technical Information Services (NTIS).

Effectively negotiating replacing leases for federal agencies is another great example of the nationwide efforts by the Public Building Service (PBS) to achieve real estate savings for the American taxpayers through the agency’s Lease Cost Avoidance Plan.

The Lease Cost Avoidance Plan (LCAP) is GSA’s plan to achieve approximately $4 billion in cost avoidance on leases becoming effective through Fiscal Year 2023.
