Assisted Acquisition Services Division (AASD) to Host Industry Event July 26-27

The U.S. Army’s Software Engineering Directorate (SED) at Redstone Arsenal has partnered with GSA’s Region 4 Assisted Acquisition Services Division (AASD) to provide acquisition services for the Software Engineering Directorate (SED) - Battlefield, Strategic and Virtual Systems Engineering Support Acquisitions. The AASD SED Branch will be hosting its first formal Face to Face Industry interaction July 26-27th, 2016 in Huntsville, AL. The GSA and SED team will share Programmatic, Technical and Acquisition specific information.

The AASD SED Branch has set a high bar for industry involvement and engagement. The team is using best practices to:

  1. Promote Competition
  2. Provide Transparent Communication
  3. Utilize Technology to its Fullest
  4. Maintain Regulatory Compliance, and
  5. Deliver “Best Value” to the Acquisition Process.

Ultimately, the GSA team is working to ensure Industry Partners have the opportunity to voice their opinion throughout the process and be heard and/or addressed.
