GSA publishes draft Environmental Assessment for new VA Clinic in Lakeland, Florida

ATLANTA – The U.S. General Services Administration has released its draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for a proposed build-to-suit lease project for a new Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Lakeland, Florida, for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ Veterans Health Administration.

The proposed project would replace the existing 23,000 square-foot VA clinic located on South Pipkin Road in Lakeland with a new nearly 128,000-square-foot state-of-the-art, energy-efficient health care facility. Construction would begin in early 2022 and take approximately 18 months.

The public is invited to provide comments to GSA on the draft EA, as well as the Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) document, during the comment period, December 20, 2020 to January 8, 2021.
