We help with historic preservation of GSA owned property including:
- Guidance on the National Historic Preservation Act, historic preservation and identifying historic properties and archaeological sites.
- Technical assistance on preservation projects.
- Communication with tribal nations and appropriate State Historic Preservation Offices on projects involving potential historic properties.
The National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 requires federal agencies to identify and evaluate all properties 50 years and older. The NHPA also requires federal agencies to review the impact of federal projects on historic properties. We are involved in all stages of regional preservation or renovation projects.
