Where do you live? 
Overland Park, Kansas

Where is your hometown?
Overland Park, Kansas

What was your career journey, to where you are now?
I worked 10 years at Garmin as a software quality analyst, and I spent two years with the U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contract Command at Fort Leavenworth as a contract specialist.

What other federal government or military experience have you had and for how long?
I had four years of active duty in the U.S. Army, four years in the U.S. Army Reserve and 10 years in the U.S. Navy Reserve. I also had two years of federal service with the Mission and Installation Contract Command at Fort Leavenworth.

What is your alma mater, degree or special training?
Bachelor’s in economics from the University of Kansas and a Master of Business Administration from Baker University.

What is your biggest professional or personal accomplishment?
I am proud of my four years of active military service.

How do you recharge your batteries outside of work?
I enjoy reading about finance and investing, and I enjoy watching movies with my family.  

Tell us a little about yourself. Children? Pets? Married? Hobbies?
My wife and I have known each other since preschool. I have a 10-year-old stepdaughter, twin 4-year-old boys and two dogs. My main hobby would be managing the three rental properties I own and learning about finance and investing through books and podcasts.

Funny, Loyal, Hardworking

What is one of the items on your bucket list?
Play in the world series of poker.

What characteristic or value do you most admire in others?
Honesty

What is your unique talent, skill or gift?
Speaking and singing like Kermit the Frog.

Is there anything else you would like to share about yourself?
Before I started my MBA, I was involved in theater and film, and I had a role in a historical documentary that won three Emmys.
