What’s your cause? This year’s CFC runs through Jan. 12
Follow the instructions below to make a donation through the Combined Federal Campaign.
This year’s Combined Federal Campaign, an annual federal charity fundraising effort, is officially underway in the Heartland Region. GSA employees, retirees (annuitants) and contractors have until Jan. 12, 2020, to pledge financial and non-financial support to participating charities.
“Whether you care about youth development, military families, housing and shelter, or animal welfare — the CFC has a charity for any cause you want to support,” said GSA Regional Administrator Michael Copeland.
To make a pledge:
- Visit opm.gov/ShowSomeLoveCFC.
- Log-in or sign-up using the options provided.
- Complete your profile information by drilling down to your current (or former) office OR enter the 6-digit CFC code for your office (see below for more information).
- Search for your charity or charities by name, location, cause (category), zone, fundraising rate or military installation.
- Select your pledge method and account.
- Choose your payment frequency.
- Set your annual pledge.
- Review and confirm your pledge.
The online pledge portal allows donors to renew pledges and offers the full range of giving options: payroll or annuity deduction, credit or debit card, e-check and volunteer hours (for federal employees only).
Anyone making a donation is eligible to receive a lanyard from the CFC. Those donating $500 or more can also receive a silver CFC medal, and those donating a $1,000 or more can receive a gold CFC medal.
To request a lanyard or medal, for assistance completing an online pledge, or to request a paper pledge form, email diane.neal@gsa.gov.

- Heart of the Midlands CFC — western Iowa and Nebraska (including Omaha).
CFC Codes
Regional employees, retirees and contractors should select the appropriate regional “CFC code” to ensure the pledges are counted toward your local zone’s campaign goal. The most popular codes for the Heartland CFC zone are:
- GSA’s Regional Office: HYEC0A
- FAS Kansas City: R8U8U6
- Kansas City North Field Office: VMPKY5

In 2018, federal employees and retirees pledged a little over $1 million in monetary pledges and volunteer time for local, national and international charities. These contributions helped people and communities in need and reflected the generous nature of the federal community. The goal for the 2019 campaign is $1.25 million.
Over the past 58 years, members of the federal community have contributed more than $8.3 billion to local, national and international charities.
