GSA to Auction 8.265 Acres of the Former Denver VA Medical Center

DENVER — The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is proceeding with the sale of 9th & Clermont- Denver property, a portion of the land located at the former Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center at 1055 Clermont Street. The property is listed for sale at RealEstateSales.gov.

A marketing period for the property will provide potential bidders the opportunity to gather information about the 8.265 parcel, which is improved with 5 buildings and an 8 floor parking structure totaling 775,718 gross square feet, prior to the June 20, 2022 start of the bidding period. GSA auctions are open to anyone interested in purchasing surplus government real estate and attract a national market of land developers and international investors. Interested bidders are encouraged to visit the auction website and property website to view the Invitation for Bids (IFB) document and other property and sale information.

An Industry Day to detail more information about this property is scheduled for May 25 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Mountain Standard Time. Interested parties can join the Zoom meeting to get information and ask questions. The meeting ID number is 161-529-0951, passcode is 383381.

The property sits at the corner of 9th Avenue and Clermont Street within the Hale neighborhood; close to downtown and minutes from the Denver Zoo, City Park, the Denver Botanic Gardens, and the Cherry Creek shopping area. A new development located along Colorado Blvd., called 9+CO, offers a live, work, shop, dine concept including a movie theater and open greenspace. The Hale neighborhood also includes a large hospital as well as apartments and single family residential uses.
