Temporary roadway and lane closures at the San Luis I Land Port of Entry to accommodate utility installation construction

SAN LUIS, Ariz. ㅡ The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announces a series of temporary road and vehicle lane closures at the San Luis I Land Port of Entry (LPOE) to accommodate the installation of water and sewer utilities as part of the port’s $307.5 million Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) funded modernization and expansion project. The first phase of work will require the temporary closure of a one block segment of Urtuzuastegui Street between William Brooks Avenue and 2nd Avenue from August 14-16 from 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The second phase of road work will require the closure of the southernmost lane of Urtuzuastegui Street between Archibald Street and Main Street from August 19-23 from 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Phase 1:

  • Where: Urtuzuastegui Street between William Brooks Avenue and 2nd Avenue
  • When: August 14-16, from 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Phase 2: 

  • Where: Southernmost lane of Urtuzuastegui Street between Archibald Street and Main Street
  • When: August 19-23, from 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
