Episode 3 - GSA and Small Business Contracting

Episode 3 of  “GSA Does That!?” focuses on small business and IT contracting with the federal government. Guests Herman Lyons, a business management specialist, and Jean Fluevog, a contract specialist, offer practical advice on when to know your small business is ready to bid on a GSA schedule, and then when ready, how to go about it. They talk about GSA’s solid reputation for supporting small businesses and the different ways GSA opens doors for small businesses to thrive in a competitive environment.

The episode also takes a deep dive into the Best-in-Class 8(a) STARS III GWAC program, a unique small business contract that offers the government a wide array of IT services and solutions from a diverse pool of industry partners.

Herman and Jean share with the audience what the government is looking for in an industry partner, what to expect when a new small business gets on a schedule, and setting expectations for new contractors. They share valuable insights and advice that you won’t hear anywhere else.

So, whether you represent a government agency or you’re a small business owner looking to do business with the federal government, this episode offers some real insights into the world of GSA contracts.
