Allison Fahrenkopf Brigati Sworn-in as Deputy Administrator of GSA
WASHINGTON, D.C.- U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Administrator Emily W. Murphy today swore in Allison Fahrenkopf Brigati as deputy administrator.
“Allison has been a key member of the GSA leadership team since joining in July,” said Administrator Murphy. “Her policy expertise, legal background, and strong leadership experience are invaluable as we continue our focus on providing ethical leadership, reducing duplication, increasing competition and improving agency transparency.”
As deputy administrator, Brigati will continue in the role she has served in since December 2017 when she was named acting deputy administrator. Brigati will work closely with Administrator Murphy and GSA leadership to execute the agency’s services and support the entire GSA workforce.
“It is a privilege and honor to serve the Trump Administration and to be selected as deputy administrator of GSA,” said Brigati. “I am excited to continue working with Administrator Murphy and the great leadership team at GSA as we work to deliver the best value in real estate, acquisition and technology services to government and the American people.”
Brigati joined GSA in July 2017 as associate administrator of the Office of Government-wide Policy. Before serving at GSA, Brigati was the general counsel and director of strategic initiatives for the National Academy of Public Administration. An expert legal advisor in contracting, employment, and financial issues, Brigati provided counsel to the senior leadership team at the Academy, including its president and board of directors, regarding various legal and policy matters.
Brigati earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
