GSA announces new political appointee

WASHINGTON — The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced a new political appointment.

Eric Mill will serve as Executive Director for Cloud Strategy in GSA’s Technology Transformation Services. He will manage the agency’s cloud security strategy and help lead the implementation of government-wide technology initiatives. Prior to joining GSA, Mill served as Senior Advisor to the Federal Chief Information Officer, playing key roles in support of the Federal Zero Trust Strategy [PDF], the draft FedRAMP Modernization Memo [PDF], and the Technology Modernization Fund. Mill has previously served in technology policy and implementation roles in the U.S. Senate Committee on Rules and Administration, at GSA, and in product management and software engineering roles in the private sector. He got his bachelor’s in computer science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
