Research tools
Our customers have a variety of tools available to them to assist in their market research for BMO. The resources listed below will aid agencies in preparing Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE) and other acquisition planning. The team can also conduct an RFI on behalf of our customers to provide more specific insight into BMO vendors’ abilities to meet their requirements.
Discovery market research tool
Discovery is a market research tool that helps you explore GSA’s Building Maintenance and Operations (BMO) contract holders to include experience and small business socio-economic status. Discovery pulls information from FPDS-NG to provide context-rich contract history on awarded contractors based on primary NAICS codes that gives an insight about BMO contractors on Unrestricted and Small Business.
Discovery allows federal users to:
- Generate a listing of awarded contractors based on a primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code.
- Filter for fair opportunity from a list of socioeconomic classifications.
- Find contractor administrative information such as points of contact, as well as, lists of current and completed contract actions from the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS).
- Download contractor details as a Comma Separated Values (CSV) file for offline use and analysis.
IGCE tool
GSA’s Independent Government Cost Estimate (IGCE) Tool was created to assist with the development of project cost estimates. While BMO is not in the pre-selected contracting vehicle list, the IGCE Tool can be used to easily build up your own labor rates by selectively adding indirect costs to base labor rate(s) you enter yourself. Also, you can now selectively add indirect rates to non-labor items (e.g. travel, materials), including the addition of a Materials & Subcontract (M&S) rate. This information is fully exportable into an Excel worksheet for further customization to match your specific procurement scenario. Give the IGCE Tool a try today!
