Under the Comprehensive Procurement Guidelines program, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) designates products that are or can be made with recovered materials and recommends practices for buying these products (minimum content levels). Agencies are required to purchase a designated product with the highest recovered material content level practicable. Buying recycled content products helps to ensure that the materials collected in home and office recycling programs will be used again in the manufacturing of new products. Examples include:

When a military installation or Government - related facility(whether or not specifically named) is located partially within more than one city or county boundary, the applicable per diem rate for the entire installation or facility is the higher of the rates which apply to the cities and / or counties, even though part(s) of such activities may be located outside the defined per diem locality.
