U.S. General Services Administration to hold public scoping meeting for the Land Port of Entry project in Richford, Vermont

Funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the project is part of President Biden’s Investing in America Agenda

BOSTON – In compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) will host a public meeting in support of an Environmental
Assessment (EA) for the proposed modernization project for the Land Port of Entry in Richford, Vermont.

All are encouraged to attend and participate in the public meeting on:

WHEN: Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET

WHERE: Richford Town Office,
               94 Main Street, Richford, VT 05476

Additionally, the meeting may be attended virtually via Zoom. Those attending virtually will be able to ask questions and comment during the meeting.

A presentation on the project will begin at 6:00 P.M. ET. A stenographer will capture comments voiced during the meeting. Agencies and the public are encouraged to attend the public scoping meeting and provide comments regarding the scope of the EA. Project information, including a recording of the meeting and the meeting materials, will be available on the project website.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide interested parties, stakeholders and the public with an opportunity to hear about the project and learn how they can provide input. This input is a valuable step in the process and will be used by GSA to determine the scope and content of the EA.

The project, funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, will improve the operational efficiency, safety, and security of federal inspection personnel and cross-border travelers at the port.

Written comments regarding the EA must be received by 5:00 p.m. ET on October 15, 2024, using one of the following methods:
