The Great Lakes Region is dedicated to providing safe and nurturing child care environments for children of federal employees in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin. 

Find out more or obtain federal child care services by:

1. Contacting your local Great Lakes Region Child Care Center.
2. Scheduling an interview with the specific center’s director to discuss individual child care needs and arrange a tour of the facility.
3. Providing necessary information for processing your application.

Federal employees may be eligible for child care subsidies through the Federal Employee Subsidy Program.

All GSA Great Lakes child care centers are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the highest national standard for early childhood programs. The NAEYC assesses centers against rigorous standards for health, safety, staffing, qualifications, physical environment and administration.
