Our new shared space program, Space Match, helps federal agencies share office space by connecting those who need workspace with those who have extra seats available.
We’ll use our Space Match database to create a match based on information you provide, such as the type of space needed and locations to accommodate.

Benefits of using Space Match
- You can provide desk space for employees returning to the office who do not have assigned agency space near their home.
- Host agencies can optimize their space, reduce rent costs, and support Office of Management and Budget’s 60% office utilization goal.
- Create a more flexible and efficient real estate portfolio.
- Encourage collocation and shared services to minimize waste.
Background
We’ve already contacted agency points of contact who previously expressed interest in shared space opportunities on a national level. We’ve been working hard to pilot the concept by facilitating matches and helping create a replicable work model.
What’s next
We’re refining draft occupancy agreements and memorandums of understanding to formalize agreements between host and occupying agencies.
We welcome feedback on the intake process so we can continue to improve this offering.
