GSA announces preferred site, public comment period for new Des Moines courthouse
DES MOINES, IOWA – The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has released its draft Environmental Assessment (EA) identifying 101 Locust Street as the preferred site for construction of a new federal courthouse.

The public comment period ends at 5 p.m. CDT on July 27.
GSA will provide a project summary and collect questions and comments at a public information session on Monday, July 17, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. CDT at the Central Library Meeting Room in Des Moines. Questions and comments may also be submitted to Ms. Carmichael prior to July 27.
Responses to questions and comments will be provided in the Final EA.
